On 21 November, Lowe Ensemble returned to sun-soaked Murcia to perform at ECOS Festival 2025, presenting their programme Reflections of the Spanish Baroque to two warmly received audiences in Librilla’s La Cañada Honda.

Lowe Ensemble Brings Iberian Baroque to Life at ECOS Festival 2025

Lowe Ensemble were welcomed back to Spain on 21 November for their appearance at ECOS Festival 2025, performing in the scenic setting of La Cañada Honda (Librilla). Audiences were greeted with warm evening air, vibrant energy, and a programme that celebrated the richness and diversity of the Spanish Baroque.

Lowe Ensemble returned to Murcia on 21 November for their appearance at ECOS Festival 2025, offering two evening performances at La Cañada Honda in Librilla. Bathed in warm November air and greeted by an equally warm audience, the ensemble presented their programme “Reflejos del Barroco Español – Reflections of the Spanish Baroque.”
The programme traced the musical connections that linked Spain with France, Italy, and England during the Baroque period. With expressive contrasts and rhythmic vitality, the ensemble guided listeners through a selection of works shaped by Iberian influence.

The repertoire included:

No se emendará jamás – G. F. Handel

Sé que me muero de amor (from Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme) – Jean-Baptiste Lully

Fandango R.146 – Antonio Soler, arranged by the ensemble

Both performances were met with enthusiasm, and the ensemble expressed heartfelt thanks for the community’s warm welcome, saying: “Gracias for the beautiful welcome, nos vemos pronto!”
