Continuo Foundation Grantee Round 8

We are delighted to finally confirm that we will be sponsored by the Continuo Foundation for a very special project lined up for 2025, taking us all the way back to where it all began and celebrating our shared music making from a young age🖤

Lowe Ensemble will make a recording of Padre Antonio Soler’s emblematic 'Fandango' , in an arrangement for strings, harpsichord, baroque guitar, and percussion. Padre Antonio Soler holds a special significance for the members of the Lowe Ensemble, as they were all raised in San Lorenzo de El Escorial (Madrid, Spain), the composer’s hometown. Having studied together at ‘El Escorial’ Madrid, this recording serves as a way to commemorate their shared education and early experiences in music-making. The project aims to attract a broad audience, from classical music enthusiasts to younger listeners unfamiliar with baroque music, by offering a passionate performance of this piece. The ensemble aims to engage with audiences in the UK and Spain.
